Soccer Players Kick It! For JDRF

On Saturday, November 16th, 2013, over 50 soccer players joined me for a soccer tournament at Netherwood Field to raise money for JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). We must have done a good job because we raised $1000 dollars!
Everyone fought hard, but in the end there were two teams in the championship game, Catnip, Catching Fire and What Does A Rock Say? The match was close throughout, but Catnip, Catching Fire prevailed in a 3-2 win. The winning teams included the Captain Jenna Vince, Monsif Atify, Julia Coghlan, Charlie Dawes, Jack Gerzabeck, Josh Illing, Quinn Martin, Koll Peichel, Ryan Peterson and Ben Storz.
I’d like to say thanks to all the players and volunteers for making this a successful event. Also, a huge thanks to C & M Sporting Goods for donating the jerseys for the tournament. Hopefully, I’ll see everyone next year.
